My research abstract was accepted for presentation at the Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) annual conference in April of 2021. The mission of SIRS is to bring together researchers from across the world who work on schizophrenia and other related disorders.

I will be presenting the quantitative portion from my McNair research at the virtual conference, via poster format. There will be a public discussion board for my poster, where attendees can post questions and comments for me throughout the conference, in addition to uploading a voiceover.

I am also excited for the networking and roundtable sessions, where I hope to build relations with professionals in the field.

In addition to presenting at this conference, me and two other students have been accepted to present at the American Association of Suicidology (SIRS), which will also be held in April of 2021. Our project is named "Mediational Factors for Suicidal Ideation and Attempts within Bisexual College Students." Focusing on this unique, and marginalized, community will bring a different perspective in the field of suicidology.

Researchers, survivors, mental health professionals will share the latest research, applications, and outcomes from the field of suicide prevention.
