Welcome to my post, I hope to shed some light on what I do as a student clinician in the Human Development Center at UWEC.
Purpose
"Nothing you do for a child is ever wasted."
-Garrison Keillor
Despite the difficulties these children encounter, I am always amazed by the resilience each displays.
Through Spring of 2020, I have received training and education focused on administering testing and how to work with children who may have learning disabilities. Parents and guardians seek out the UWEC Human Development Center for answers about their child's school performance, behavior, language and speech development, math assistance, etc.

With each of my assigned three clients, I attend a pre-evaluation meeting, where School Psychology and CDC graduate students and myself discuss the child's situation and what we need to further investigate. Two weeks after this meeting, I meet with the child to administer four hours of testing.
