For the Spring of 2021, I have accepted a full-time internship with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Wisconsin chapter. Given COVID-19 regulations, I will be working remotely. This online option grants me an amazing opportunity that would have otherwise been difficult for me, given the distance of Eau Claire, Wi to Madison, Wi.

My internship duties will largely include research on the new legislation and bills supported by President Biden. Virtual, I will lobby and attend statewide meetings with my internship supervisor and represent the WI chapter of NASW. I am excited to contact and mobilize other NASW members and sister organizations on NASW WI's priority legislation or rules. In addition, I will also engage in outreach to current members, and work to encourage BSW and MSW level students to become members of the organization. Being a part of a national organization, which code of ethics I greatly align with, will provide me exceptional experience with technical writing and professional development
