As UWEC has moved all Spring 2020 into online format, my work for SPARC outreach to students is ever important. During this time, I created "Meaningful Mondays," which includes weekly quotes, tips, and even asking students about what they're doing to find meaning in their days.

I am grateful to be able to engage in meaningful work in the midst of this uncertainty. Supporting the well-being of my fellow students is not only part of my internship experience, but is a personal passion of mine. As students struggle to adjust to this new situation, I thought that reminding them about the importance of progress, rather than perfection. As a fellow perfectionist, I also am having difficulty during this time, as I am used expectations of high achievement.

Going from face-to-face classes to shifting to completely online is a difficult step for many students. I decided to compile tips for students on how to adjust to new studying habits and class engagement. Reaching out and connecting to resources is crucial for struggling students, and I then included the contact information for a variety of campus offices.

My current goal is not only to remain engaged in my internship experience, but to actively act as a face of student success as things are constantly changing for individuals. Amongst changes, I am dedicated to remain as a constant for my peers through regular engagement and promotion of student mental health and suicide prevention.
